“Come to me, all of you who are weary and burdened, and I will give you rest.“ – Matthew 11:28

Every single day you wake up and feel like there’s a piece missing from your life. There’s a part of you that feels incomplete and you suffer as you struggle to establish what it is. You’re tired of the pain. You’re mentally and physically exhausted. You feel like you’re drowning and no matter how hard you try, you can’t keep your head above water. You’re always taking one step forward and going two steps back.

Whatever it is that you are being faced with at this exact moment, give it to God and He will be your light. Life may seem agonizing right now and you may be asking, “When will it be over God? I can’t take much more of this!”

But here’s the thing. He doesn’t put you through anything that you cannot handle. Even though suffering is not good. I assure you, God will use your pain for good.

Let me share an example of this on how God’s hands on an experience can cause a ripple effect, turning a not so good experience into a truly life changing experience. A moment that causes a shift in who you are, who you’re becoming and the actions you will pursue going forward.

I won’t get into the details, but to give you an idea of what was happening, it was the worst night of my life. Everything that could go wrong, went wrong and some. I was ready to end my life that night.

With all the events that already unfolded, it was the middle of the night and a man tried to rob me. He pointed a gun at me telling me to give him all my money. Your average person would have done as he asked, however, instead I walked towards him and pushed the gun to my forehead. “Don’t pull a gun on someone unless you’re ready to pull the trigger.” This wasn’t the reaction he was expecting as I could see the fear In his eyes and he ran off.

God has a way of using His children to help one another, in ways we can’t even imagine. I don’t know what happened to that man, but I imagine his life changed drastically after that for the better.

Just like I may have helped transform that man’s future, God is using your pain to mold and shape you. You are going to come out of this tunnel with a newfound perspective on your life and experiences. Like the Potter molding the clay, He Is using our circumstances to shape us. We may not understand, but as God’s children it is our job to have faith, surrender and trust in Him.

God has a plan for each and every one of us.
